Involvements

In high school, I was involved in a slew of clubs.  I was on the executive board for many of them and absolutely loved what they did.

Coming to college, I wasn’t really sure where I wanted to dedicate my time.  I considered greek life, student government association, and many other great programs.

There are hundreds of registered student organizations (RSOs) on CMU’s campus and there is one for pretty much every kind of group you can imagine.  At first, I wasn’t sure which RSOs I wanted to be a part of or even how to join them.

I started going to meetings for a few different RSOs but wasn’t feeling the spark of passion that I felt for many of the clubs I was involved in high school.

As I have continued to explore all that CMU has to offer, I have found some amazing organizations to be a part of.

I have been a facilitator(group leader) for both the Spark Leadership Series and Leadership Safari. I also was the program coordinator for Purpose.

Outside of the Leadership Institute, I have been a member of the College of Democrats and Public Relations Student Society of America. Both of these organizations help me to grow professionally and gain crucial skills for fields I plan to enter into. My junior year was press secretary for CMU’s Student Government Association.

This incredible opportunity will allow me to engage with students all around campus and advocate on their behalf. It is truly an honor to serve as CMU’s 100th SGA administration and I couldn’t be more excited for this year.
